What is Birth?

Google's definition of birth is: The emergence of a baby or other young from the body of its mother; the start of life as a physical separate being. 

God's definition of birth: The process in which life is formed both physically and spiritually. 

Life: To bring a source of light into the world so that purpose may be found. {Genesis 1:3}

•  Let’s dive a bit deeper and go back to the beginning when God created Adam. In Genesis chapter 1 God not only created the earth but spiritual beings to possess dominion over all he had created. Male and female is what the spiritual beings were called but this was before he breathed Ruach breath into Adam to now be called man. 

• Every time a child is born it’s as if God is forming his new creation all over again. Every child that is born male or female has Ruach breath within them, thus making them a creation of God. First you are a spiritual being then once God breathes Ruach breath into you, you are now a physical being and his creation. God is the creator and anything he creates is his creation and it is good.

Conclusion: Birth itself is a form of new beginning, whether it's done spiritually or physically. God is so intentional that this process of birth is not just for your baby it's for you as well as your spouse. God says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” “Alas, Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” But the LORD said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD." God has called you to this new season in your life. So do not say "I am not strong enough", "I can't do it", "What if", "HOW" or "WHY" Your Father in Heaven knows what you need before you know what you need. (Matthew 6:8)

God has called you and ENTRUSTED you to carry his beautiful creation. Birth is a beautiful thing and what's even more beautiful about this is that you are NOT alone. For some moms out there you may not have a big family, perhaps the father of your child is nowhere to be found, maybe you're facing homelessness, you've ran out of resources or simply don't think you're strong enough. I understand but more importantly HE understands. "Peace Be still and Know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10) Always remember this is bigger than you, there are people on the other side of this that is assigned to your voice who needs to hear your story. From the moment you were born God has breathed Ruach breath into you and as his creation, as his child the greatest reward he has given you is inside of you. So leave with this step into this season in your life with hope and faith that you and your unborn child will be well taken care of. You are equipped/prepared. You can do this!
